Cross Country Begins

Practice begins August 14th at the Ella Sharp picnic shelter, 9am to 11am Information, rules and a schedule will be issued at this time.  This is a no-cut sport. Viking Football 2013

The 2013 Viking Football season has officially started. We will be holding camp June 10th – 13th and the weight room will be open Mon, Wed., Fri. from 9:00am – 10:30am and Tues. and Thurs. from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. For the full season schedule check our 2013 football calendar.

Orientation, Testing and Helmet Handouts

Friday June 7th 3:00 Jackson Viking Football will be holding an orientation, testing and helmet handout for All incoming ninth graders and those of you currently attending. Anyone interested in playing football in the fall needs to be at Withington Stadium and ready to test by 3:00. bring both cleats and a pair of shoes.

Cheer Tryouts June 1st

Saturday June 1, 2013 Varsity and JV tryouts will be held in the Jackson high school field house from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Must have a physical to tryout. Please come prepared with a sideline cheer and a minimum 16 count dance. If you have any questions please contact Kelly Williams 841-3715.

Vikings Beat Lumen Christi 12-10

The Vikings power through cold weather to defeat Lumen Christi 12-10. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning Tyler Kyro hit a solo home run that gave the Vikings the lead. A few batters later Nick Corravo drove in Rourke Carroll to give the Vikings a 2 run lead headed into the 7th

Pole Vaulter Breaks School Record

Junior Kalei Hunt broke Jackson High School’s pole vaulting record at the track meet against Okemos and Lansing Everett on April 16, 2013. The previous record was set by Amber Bundy in 2011 and the record was 7’6. Hunt now holds the new record at 8’. Hunt’s own personal best 7’6 before the new record
