Jackson’s boys soccer team finished its final non-conference game against Jackson Northwest High School. The Vikings outscored the Mounties 8-0 for their 14th win of the season. Both Caleb Sexton and Jon Kraeuter both had three goals, with Quintin Smith and Collin Glick scoring in the match. When Caleb Sexton scored his final goal, he past the old record set by Chris Brown (26) in 1989, to become the player to score the most goals in a single season (27). Jon Kraeuter also set a new team record for most career assists with 28 in the NW game. He surpassed Ben Musolf’s record 25 assists in his career set in 1989-1992. The Vikings continue their record setting season on Tuesday as they begin the conference tournament with game 1 at Mehall at 6:30.
